We built the Ho’omaka app so you can start your next adventure in the right mindset.

Whether you’re starting your day, getting pumped for the big game, or preparing for that super important meeting, Ho’omaka has a quote for you.

Ho’omaka was built by two friends in their senior year of high school. Stressed about where they would choose to go to college, they both found themselves looking for good quotes to lift their spirits. Disappointed with the quality of the available options in the App Store, they decided to make their own quote app in hopes that others who are looking for similar motivation would be able to find it.

We had two priorities for Ho’omaka: great quotes and beautiful design. Each quote was carefully considered and paired with a photograph that resonates the quote’s message. And we were very strict about which features to include, so the quotes take center stage.
